Need support with renewable energy in your greenhouse?

1 June 2026 by
RE-GREENHOUSE

Do you want to take steps towards renewable energy, but are unsure about feasibility, costs, or which technology to choose? With a new voucher call, Inagro is offering greenhouse growers targeted, personalised guidance.

From 1 June 2026, greenhouse growers can apply for a voucher for personal guidance on making the switch to renewable energy. The support is aimed at businesses that want to tackle their greenhouse energy transition but need objective analysis and practical advice to do so.

The guidance programme:

Selected applicants go through three steps:

  • An initial online meeting (approx. 2 hours) to discuss your expectations, plans, and the key characteristics of your greenhouse.
  • An on-site visit (approx. 2–3 hours) focusing on your current energy use, potential efficiency gains, and realistic alternatives to fossil fuels.
  • A closing online meeting (approx. 1 hour) in which you receive an overview of the findings and possible next steps towards investment or further planning. During the process, we will also ask for your feedback on the RE-Greenhouse tool, so we can continue to improve it.

What the guidance offers

  • A clear picture of your current energy situation
  • A structured comparison of your options
  • Better-informed decisions for the future of your business

Who can apply?

The call is open to:

  • Greenhouse growers with heated greenhouses
  • Producers considering a (new) heating system
  • Public actors with heated greenhouses are also eligible

How to apply?

Applications are submitted via an online form. You will be asked for:

  • Basic information about your business and crop type
  • A description of your greenhouse(es): size, structure, and technical specifications
  • Information about your current energy and heating system
  • An indication of your energy consumption
  • Your motivation to move towards renewable energy
Deadline: 23 August 2026.

Selection and timeline

Based on the applications, we will select a group of businesses that together offer a representative picture of the greenhouse sector: from smaller family-run operations to larger commercial businesses, with a range of crops and energy situations.

After the call closes at the end of August 2026:

  • Every applicant will receive a response by 30 September 2026
  • Selected businesses will be contacted in October 2026 to schedule the first meeting
  • On-site visits will take place before the end of 2026
